Community School of the Arts
The largest community school of the arts in Kansas City is located on the campus of St. Teresa's Academy.
The Community School of the Arts was begun in 2002. Today thousands of youths (K-12) from throughout the
metro area annually receive instruction in voice, instrument, dance and drama from local professional
artists in after school, weekends and summer programs.
The Community School of the Arts is a program of Kansas City Young Audiences (KCYA). For over thirty
five years KCYA has provided a wide-range of arts programs for children in area school districts and is a
nationally award winning arts organization.
